Teaching and learning is a major motivation for both the children and for myself. When we work together my objective is to inspire the children. They are capable of developing their skills and abilities in a fun way. I love sharing my knowledge and learning about people through working toward a common goal. Art was one of the earliest forms of language. Numerous cultures communicated through art prior to development of written languages and alphabets. I believe teaching art provides a foundation for children’s introspection and self realization. This inward thinking and development of imagination, as well as execution of, can guide people toward their true life goals.

This is one of my favorite festivals around the Lehigh Valley. I have been a volunteer for the last three years. This festival is a gathering of indigenous peoples of the Americas. Once a year I get to see a little bit of my own culture while volunteering.
